FAQs

  •  How do we get started?
Call our office to set up a free consultation where we will meet with you, walk through your property, listen to your specific concerns, and ask you questions to get a good feel for your specific landscape needs.
  • Do you charge for your design work?
Yes, on complex designs we charge $60.00 per hour after you hire us and for the time we spend putting your design on paper.  If you choose to have us do your installation, you will be credited back 50% of the design charge. If it is just a simple job that does not require extensive planning and designing, we normally offer free estimates.
  • I’d like to plan my whole yard but can’t afford to install it all at one time.
Often, customers will want to approach their installation in phases.  We can bid all or any section of your job and work around your time constraints and budget.
  • Do I have to have a fertization program?
Yes.  You don’t have to have it from us but this fertilizing is essential to properly maintain your property. How your property looks is not only a reflection of you but also of our service. We don’t want our crews mowing just weeds.
  • Where can I see samples of your work?
We have lists of homes in different areas that we can share with you.  Check out our Photo Gallary page
  • Do you do maintenance?
Yes, Maintenance is our primary business. We have maintenance crews that simply keep beautiful properties looking the way they should.
  • Do you do lawn installations and renovations?
Yes, we lay sod and renovate troubled lawns. If you schedule maintenance we will keep it healthy all year long!
  • Do I have to water new plants after you leave?   Yes. Your plants are living things and newly planted they are very vulnerable to the elements. They need your regular attention! Please keep them moist to insure best results. Here is a rough guideline for watering:

  1. Newly planted trees and shrubs should be watered on average 2-3 times weekly for the first year. A simple moisture test is to place your finger just under the mulch layer and feel the amount of moisture in the soil. Water plants for 15-20 minutes (preferred method is with a hose set at a very low flow rate so as to get a good, deep watering which will encourage deep root growth).
  2. Another guide to follow is based on weekly outdoor temperatures.
90 degrees or above – water 4 times per week
70-90 degrees – water 3 times per week
50-70 degrees -= water 2 times per week
